Summary:
The capstone project I finished my degree with was a website redesign for Urban Habitat, a Bay Area non-profit organization. I focused on web usability with the intent of demonstrating the array of resources available to easily create usable design.
The original Urban Habitat home page
Issues I identified were the outdated layout, drab color scheme, carousel header, and lack of responsiveness.
Redesigned Urban Habitat home page
I emphasized calls to actions with compelling imagery and modernized the design layout. The site has higher contrast and responsiveness to be usable by a wider userbase.
